Terms of Use

Last updated: July 2, 2026

By using ClaimAlert ("we", "us", the "Service") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

What ClaimAlert is

ClaimAlert is an independent editorial publication that summarizes publicly available information about U.S. consumer class action settlements. We are not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice. Reading our articles, browsing our listings, or submitting a consultation request through our forms does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and ClaimAlert.

Editorial accuracy

We work hard to keep our listings accurate and current, but errors happen. The court-approved settlement notice always takes precedence over anything you read on this site. Before you make any legally significant decision based on a ClaimAlert listing, verify the information against the official settlement administrator's website (we link to it in every listing). If you find an error, please tell us.

Attorney referrals

When you submit a consultation request through one of our forms, we share your information with one of the consumer-protection attorneys in our participating network. Those attorneys are independently licensed; they are not employees of ClaimAlert. Any consultation, retention, or fee arrangement is solely between you and the attorney. We receive a referral fee from the attorney for the introduction in jurisdictions where the bar rules permit. The attorney may not pass that fee on to you, and any fee for actual legal services is paid only out of any recovery they obtain on your behalf.

Limitations of liability

ClaimAlert provides the site "as is." We disclaim, to the maximum extent permitted by law, all warranties, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising out of your use of the site, including missed deadlines, denied claims, or any other outcome. Your sole remedy if you are dissatisfied with the site is to stop using it.

Acceptable use

  • Don't submit false or misleading information through our forms.
  • Don't use the Service to harvest information about other users.
  • Don't attempt to break, overload, or circumvent the security of the Service.
  • Don't republish substantial portions of our editorial content without permission. Brief quotations with attribution are welcome.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware.
